The Beau Rivage Showroom, designed by Sceno Plus, reflects the warm climate of southern France and is inspired by Matisse paintings. The blue of the ceiling for the sky, the red-orange shades of the wall for sundance, the yellow of the seats for the sand, blend to create a warm atmosphere in this showroom by the sea.
Outstanding features
The Beau Rivage Showroom is part of the Beau Rivage Hotel & Casino complex located on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico.
The showroom was designed to accommodate Cirque du Soleil touring shows in two-year runs. The dimensions of the stage and house are identical to those of a touring big top.
What makes this project unique is that the showroom can be transformed into a conventional theatre in eight weeks. Sections of the orchestra seating can be demolished without affecting the integrity of the structure and part of the ceiling can be easily dismantled. Conventional seating and a stage with a proscenium can then be constructed to complete the changeover.
